June 25, 2017 PROJECT FULL – Join the wait list

Quandary Peak

Start your summer off right by joining CFI for its first volunteer project of the season. You’ll be asked to arrive at the trailhead at 6:30 a.m. in order to hike above treeline and work a full day before the afternoon thunderstorms arrive. The day will start with a morning safety talk and introductions followed by a short hike of around 1.5 miles. Volunteers will participate in routine trail maintenance and restoration.

When: Sunday, June 25
Project type: Single day, trail maintenance and restoration
What to bring: CFI will provide a full packing list of necessary equipment, including your own backpacking gear (backpack, sunscreen, sack lunch, 2-3 liters of water, etc.).                                                                                               What not to bring: CFI will provide all trail tools necessary for the project and all safety equipment.

Gray’s and Torrey’s Peaks

Located less than an hour away from the Denver metro area, CFI hopes to have a big turnout for a single day of trail maintenance on two of Colorado’s most trafficked 14ers. You’ll be asked to arrive at the trailhead at 6:30 a.m. in order to hike into the alpine and work a full day before the afternoon thunderstorms arrive. The day will start with a morning safety talk and introductions followed by a short hike of roughly 1.5-2 miles. Volunteers will participate in routine trail maintenance and restoration.
