SUPPORT CFIEvery donation counts!

Donations from individual Fourteener enthusiasts play a critical role in CFI’s field successes. Gifts match restricted grants, while funding expenses many foundations and corporations will not cover, such as feeding field crews and transporting crews and supplies to remote trailheads.

Climber Challenges

Be sure to complete these challenges to have a shot at winning prizes–and to enjoy all the Fourteeners have to give.

1. Send us a picture of you on top of a 14er along with a paragraph on what about the 14ers inspires you. Or post the photo to your Facebook page and tag Colorado Fourteeners Initiative in the photo.

2. Send us a picture of yourself on a 14er along with a CFI Peak Steward or a CFI Trail Crew member. Or post the photo to your Facebook page and tag Colorado Fourteeners Initiative in the photo.

3. Host a “Fourteener Fete!” Invite friends, family, and coworkers to your home for a night of philanthropic fun. Serve up some grub (we suggest “mountains” of nachos, pie with “high peaks” of whipped cream, maybe even some Rocky Mountain oysters, etc.) and ask your guests to contribute to your fundraising cause.   This is the perfect opportunity to ask friends to match your pledge.

4. On your 14er climbs, take photos of three plants or animals that you encounter, then identify them using the help of friends, reference books and/or the internet. Send us your photos and identifications or post them to your Facebook page and tag Colorado Fourteeners Initiative in the photo.

5. Attend a “How to Climb a Fourteener” clinic at your local REI. Send us a picture with your presenter, as well as one thing you learned from the presentation. Or post the photo to Facebook and tag Colorado Fourteeners Initiative in the photo.
